A good year for the roses

Elvis Costello got namechecks in three of the last five books I have read (not suprising in Nick Hornby's books but seeing him namechecked by Murakami too did surprise me). It inspired me to see which of his songs are available on You Tube. This was the first one to appear. 2007? This just about sums it up.
