This is part of a series of blogs that begins here. I have reams (and reams and reams and reams) of travel notes from this trip on paper but have generally been travelling too fast to type them up. I am too busy seeing, or searching, for local hotspots (whether scenic, cultural or gastronomic), checking out affordable hotels further along the way and talking to the people I meet, to write them all up.
