Oh don't think twice (it's just another day for you and me in paradise)

Weeks 11 and 12 of my sojourn have been hard core work based. I edited seven book chapters and a magazine in about twelve days (with some proofreading help from a colleague). Still I had a nice location to do it from.

.

I was going to skip Sihanoukville completely. Too many people said they didn't like it and all the travel guides are really sniffy about it. But I found it to be a really nice beach resort - not at all over-developed. Sea views and a pool at my $30 a night hotel (I'm going to miss having a pool next to my laptop when I get back to Brussels!). And it had a real 'tropical garden suburb' feel. Lots of greenery - cows sometimes coming by to browse- all this about 200 metres walk from the beach and the same from a bevy of French and Cambodian restaurants. Its the one place I have been where I've most thought - yes I'd come back here. .

Work done (including two consecutive weekends), I treated myself to a $25 boat cruise on Monday. Less than a week left in South East Asia - time to work on my tan a bit. It's going to be a bit colder in the Kingdom of the Dragon
