Good things start from...

I found this article today - an interview with Michael Eavis - who owns a well-visited farm in Glastonbury. It's cute because: a. it shows how beautifully naïve people where in those days (I love the line about 'we'll just tie the stage to couple of apple trees in case there is a strong wind') but (more so) b. it shows the best (and most successful) things in life are don't come from business plans and cash flow projections but just a gut feeling that this is a good thing to do and lets try it. Good on you Michael. Thanks for putting your business on the line in the name of rock n roll. A personal reminiscence The last I was at 'Glasto' was in '84. I stripped two tyres on my truck (a bit like this one) down to the inner tube trying to drive out of the mud.

I read this.... really enjoyed the article, thanks.

I understand your disdain for social media, but most of what I read online, I find through Twitter. It opens doors to a huge wealth of interesting blogs and news sites. Are you on twitter? If not, I really recommend dipping a toe in.

Hi Sarah. 'Disdain' is a bit strong. Yes I can be a bit technophobe and have even avoided facebook (so far). I see a cosntant increase in the 'noise to content ratio' and personally try to avoid technologies and media that will accelerate that - as scanning through it all the noise can be really hard work. That said I know twitter etc can be very useful. One NGO here in Brussels used twitter to get several MEPs to switch their vote on an important environmental issue.
