A draft of this briefly appeared on this blog on Sunday night. Re-reading it on Monday its tone felt out of place with the rest of this blog. So is here is a revamped version.
Not all unexpected phone calls bring bad news. A few days ago I got a call from a friend. Turns out she is into uniforms. Turns out she acquired some on her recent travels and is calling to ask if I would come over and photograph her in them. Wooo. What's going on here? Visions of THAT scene from the "Unbearable lightness of being" flash through my head. "Well, I did have some other plans for the weekend, but nothing fixed in stone". And the weekend doesn’t differ too much from that the scene. (Replace bowler hat with set of military headwear). The energy we generate before, during and after this session seems to act like a magnet and all weekend we seem to attract others towards us who want to be part of our world- however transient.
Sorry, but I am not going to share the salacious details here (and before anyone asks the photos are not and will not be public domain). Its just that, in the past year, I have read so many ironic, amusing or sardonic blogs about frustrating dates (and written a few too) that I thought I should redress the balance and tell the world that some have happy endings. Sometimes you don’t even have to cast your line upon the water for the fish to come and nibble your toes.

Actually, the original was warm and personal, and not provocative or out of place. You were happy and that was nice to see: you've been dealing with a lot lately.
Keep this version, but don't worry about the prior one (and continued good luck with your Dad). It's great that folks are taking you under the wing with some tea and support: it's got to help.
Dave - it wasn't so much the tone but rather that it left a few too many footprints. But I'm glad you enjoyed both posts.
