Faces and Names

Last night being leap year day I got to go to two parties!!! - and my worlds started colliding- apart from the nomal suspects from town and my university and NGO circles -people from other places just kept on cropping up and saying hello to me: a Buddhist from Amsterdam who I know from Zeeist, an organics contact from Rome who I associate with Nuremburg. My brain worked double time but I had to admit that I knew their faces but couldn't put a name to them. Maybe it was context, maybe the alcohol, maybe and I suspect this is the case, I have always had poor face recognition skills, especially when people pop up in expected circumstances. Still it made for an interesting evening...
