This sceptred isle
Just back from a trip to the UK. And I've (re-)learnt how to upload photos from my mobile!! Text to follow (I've been looking for a new voice that blends the personal with the political / social commentary - I hope it works)- but here's an iconic image to set the mood. On the return trip the weather was so clear that I actually could (I think for the first time ever) see the legendary white cliffs from the harbour in Calais.

Beautiful shot: I haven't been able to get a good picture of the cliffs all winter. I'll look forward to more pictures from your trips (your winter reflections were also very evocative images).
Guess I just got lucky. The ferry crossing was smooth, the ferry almost empty and the motorwats not crowded (but then I try to plan that by travelling Sundays).
