One of the joys of being an editor is that one sees some truly grotesque contortions of the English language. I came across one some time ago and keep it on my noticeboard. It wasn't from a client of mine but a paper about food marketing that came my way. The author's skills at manipulating vocabulary fell short of his obviously lofty poetic intentions.
Careless attitudes of the consumers related to food quality demand and wholesome concerns - their exigencies have dropped off in front of goods with lower prices or aggressive advertising.
